![]() "..it is certainly important to understand the choreographic reformulations proposed this season by choreographers Rosane Chamecki and Andrea Lerner... the will to break a tradition that by now suffocates the dance" Our collaboration started with a common and stubborn necessity to attain a bold and transparent physicality: one that could reveal the psychological state of a body. The work exposes a world where human behavior is exaggerated, raw and brutally honest. We codify emotional material into functional physical structures where the body is busy in resolving its tasks. The result is a body urging to articulate, to accomplish and conquer its obstinate need. The intimacy of the actions urges for a sensorial reading of the movement, where the observer is able to experience the image while his/her rationality can rest. By revealing what is typically kept private, we try to illuminate a new understanding of the human condition. Andrea Lerner and Rosane Chamecki |
